AWANA MAIN MENU

Dear Parent

I would like to encourage you and your child to the AWANA club program at Grace Community Church. You will find that AWANA provides a special place for your children to make new friends, play exciting games, compete in rewarding and challenging contests, receive awards as reinforcements for their good performance, and have opportunities to learn and memorize God's Word, the Bible. The name AWANA is an acronym which stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" and is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.

This booklet is designed to provide you with the basic information that you need to know and share with your children on how AWANA operates. The AWANA staff is composed of volunteer workers who care very much about the spiritual and social development of the clubbers. Each clubber is very special to us and to God!

Your assistance is very important for your children to get the most out of AWANA. Helping or substituting in your child's class is a way you can show your support. You should also help by encouraging them to come each week, by helping them memorize at least one section per week, by showing excitement over their achievements, and by communicating any special needs with us.

We welcome you to visit our club meetings or outings any time. Our desire is to minister to the entire family! If you have any special concerns or questions, please feel free to call me at 480-894-2201, ext 212, or e-mail charlesboyle@gccaz.org

Experiencing God!
